Here our pictures of the party and Ila lounging in her armchair that she got from her mom and dad. Who knew we would raise a couch potato? I guess deep done I always knew.

Ila turned One
Miss Ila Joy turned one a few weeks ago! We had a fabulous "Milk and Cookies" themed party. It was such a fun day and we were so happy to celebrate our little girl. She has changed our life completely and I only see more changes to come... She is now 22lbs and about 29 inches long. She says a few words like, "mama", "dada", "doe" for Frodo, "baby" and "hi"- which she says in a very high and breathy voice. She is a crawling machine. Everywhere we go people comment on how fast of a crawler she is. I am not looking forward to walking stage because I can hardly keep up with her as is. That stage seems to be a ways off because she has no interest in walking when she can cruise so fast on hands and knees. Ila is super social. Which I am sure she gets from her Papa. She loves other babies and kids and if you have food or drink you are her new best friend. She plays a bit on the aggressive side but it is "nice" aggressive if there is such a thing. Her favorite toy is Frodo, whom she constantly teases and torments. She loves climbing up the stairs and anytime they are ungated she is racing up them. Her favorite food is probably bananas but she will settle for peaches in a bind. She has given up yams which she used to eat for almost every meal. She is a such a joy to have in our home and we love our little wild child!

Such a clever idea...a milk and cookies themed party. Cutest favor bags ever and my mouth is drooling for one of those big chocolate chip cookies. Looks like a fun celebration and I can't believe she is ONE already. Enjoy her lounging (in that cute pink chair) because when TWO hits, she might just be a bit busier.
